Great tip. But isn't the AS8 motherboard made by Abit instead of ASUS? The Intel sound chip should have the same limitations regardless of mb vendor, of course.

I recently switched to an asus as8 motherboard that has intel onboard sound, and I could not get any sound on my recordings from my v4l card that required a jumper to the line in. I did a little googling and found that the intel sound would only accept 48k so what I had to do was to go into my recording profiles for the v4l card and change the sound from the default 32k to 48k. I am using spdif digital output, so I'm not sure if this is an issue on normal sound output. |
