Post subject:  sound from onboard intel from v4l card

I recently switched to an asus as8 motherboard that has intel onboard sound, and I could not get any sound on my recordings from my v4l card that required a jumper to the line in. I did a little googling and found that the intel sound would only accept 48k so what I had to do was to go into my recording profiles for the v4l card and change the sound from the default 32k to 48k. I am using spdif digital output, so I'm not sure if this is an issue on normal sound output.

Great tip. But isn't the AS8 motherboard made by Abit instead of ASUS? The Intel sound chip should have the same limitations regardless of mb vendor, of course.

Ah, yes Grasshopper. But aren't both of those brands Taiwanese instead of Japanese? When you can take the pebbles from my hand, it will be time for you to go...
