Post subject:  Getting MythStream to harvest Podcasts Etc

I posted this in the wiki last week.. But here it is again. If some of you have tried to use certian functions in mythstream, especially podcasting or stream harvesting, it doesn't seem to work. Like my mythbox (v16) your probably missing XML::DOM.

so: (ripped from my wiki entry)

Getting Harvesting and Podcast functions to work under Mythstream

With the last couple of releases of Knoppmyth, the podcasting and stream harvesting functions of Mythstream fail to work. To get these functions to work, an additonal perl module is required. The documentation on the mythstream site doesn't seem to mention this dependency.

1. cspan
2. cpan>force install XML::DOM

Hope this helps.

Thank you soo much. You fixed it! :D
But I think you meant "cpan" in line 1 as "cspan" did nothing.

please excuse my ignorance, but what do you do with those two lines? do you insert them in some script? or do you have to create a new one?

i am getting this error ("Can't locate XML/DOM.pm in @INC..."), so i realize that this might be the solution to my problem, but i'm confused about what to do with the code. thanks for your help.

1. Starts CPAN (it's a PERL thing... Google is your friend).
2. Forces the install of the XML::DOM module.
