Ok, I found something. Actually MythTV send the freqID to the script instead of the channel number.

I took a look to the "channel" table and it corresponds.
example , my channel 8
Quote:
chanid channum freqid sourceid callsign name icon
1008 8 181250 1 Channel 8 Channel 8 none

when I press 8 with the hauppauge remote, mythTV send 181250 to the script.

How can I set it to send the good parameter

Ok, it WORKSSSS...
I found someone who has the same cable provider as me.
He gave me his "channel" table info. I inserted it into my database and now everything works perfectly.

It seems that my "channel" table was corrupted.

I'm running R5A26 and I can't get the remote & ir blaster working together.

The remote will only work when the module lirc_i2c is loaded and the ir blaster will only work when lirc_pvr150 is loaded.

Any idea what's wrong with my configuration ?

Hi Guys,

Great write up, simple instructions. One little problem I seem to have is that it went through all 554 code sets and none turned off my STB. I'm in Australia using a Pase branded box. I found this file that looks like it could work, but when I include it in the lircd.conf file then send some commands I get "transmission failed". It seems to be formatted quite differently. I'm wondering what I should be doing next?

The link to the file that I think MIGHT work:
http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/pace/DS420

Merry Christmas everyone.

Paul.

[edit]Hmmm, I might have to take that back. After following the steps up to where it attempts to find the correct remote codes. Well I have found that my Tuner card seems to have stopped functioning. I have tried removing the card and redefining it through mythtv-setup, I have also tried removing the cannels etc. All to no avail. I think I might be looking at needing to do a complete reinstall, unless any one has some ideas.[/edit]

Hey Paul,

The ir blaster on the 150 is very weak (it is infact not even an ir led, yet just a regular red led) so it pretty much needs to be on the ir receiver directly... When i was trying to find my ir receiver part on my cable box, I actually cracked the ir blasters head open with a small jewlery's flat head screwdriver. once that was open i just ran the script but now i could take the ir blaster back a bit more to try to find the receiver.

cheers

Scott

Hi Scott,

I ran the script again this time with the Blaster taped directly to the receiver. Again once running through the script the STB did not turn off or register anything that looked like received signal.

If anyone has managed to get this working with an Australian Foxtel Digital STB I would love to hear what you did.

At this stage though I'm a little more concerned that my tuner is only playing static, like it's not installed properly.

Paul.

Ok I have 2 lines that mention the PVR 150 and they are: (having a little trouble reading the text off my TV I hope I'm transposing this correctly) could I send this directly from my Myth box, or copy the file to my Windows PC?)

Code:
ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 150 card (LIVC16 based) [not sure if I could read that]
...
ivtv: Installed WinTV PVR 150, card 00

to the part that say

Quote:
ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ====================

try sending me that firstly..... as well as anything that has lirc_pvr150 in it...
