I couldn't find anything on this but I've got a minor issue with mythweb. I used to be able to go to http://mythtv/ and get into mythweb but now I have to use the IP, as in http://192.168.1.104/ It's not a major problem but the IP does change and its an annoyance. Oddly, the hostname works fine when doing filesharing, as in \\mythtv

I have no idea where to begin with this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the IPs changes, your won't be able to get to if via hostame (assuming you use something to resolve IP to hostname). \\mythtv mostly likely works via WINS. I'd suggest given the box a static IP and setting up "/etc/hosts".

I suggest that all myth backends have static IPs.

Backend = server = 'needs to be a known address'
