I have R5A30.1, fresh install, and trying to install Azureus. After I run apt-get update and then try and run apt-get install azurues it yells at me about some dependencies and suggests I run apt-get -f install so I do and then it breaks with an error

dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/status' near line 2337 package `automount-knoppix':
 EOF after field name `In'
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

this is the same with anything I put with apt-get, things that used to work with R5A22. Remember I did a fresh install not an upgrade

Have you tried to just download Azureus, untar it, change to the folder and run it that way? Just make sure java is installed and is pathed for the terminal. That's how I did it when I used to use Azureus on my ubuntu (not knoppmyth) box.

ok I am not that good with linux so bear with me....

I installed Java 1.5 from the Java website
I downloaded the Linux version of Azureus from its website
followed the directions and ran the azurues install script and this came up

I don't think I installed Java correctly, even though I followed the directions on the site, because azureus said that it found java 1.4, so I edited the script to point it to the new java. Any suggestions?
