How do I check my ivtv version to know if I should install the newest version and, if so, if I should install 0.4.4 or 0.6.1?

if I recall correctly you can only install 4.4 and not 6.1 on knoppmyth, because 6.1 needs stuff from a newer kernel.

Thank you, cyates. I have version 4.3. I am just learning how to use this, I have gotten the newest nVidia drivers installed for the GF6200, I have the PVR-150 MCE remote working (not sure about IR Blaster yet, though) and I am still trying to figure out how to configure it to actually find the right device and get channels. Is there any benefit to going to ivtv v. 4.4 right now? Will it, perhaps, help me with some of the hardware or will it make me have to reinstall the video drivers (something I had to do blind because the screen wasn't visible before I did it) and give me no real benefit?
