Looking at the size of the /myth/terminal_server/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX image, it would seem that creating a how-to for a CF bootable FE would be in order. I don't mind heading this up as long as I can get some assistance with questions when needed. I think a 128mb CF should suffice, although trimming some stuff could get it down to a 64mb CF which would be better. I have an IBM Netvista thin client that uses a CF for booting, so it would be a perfect test platform.

Takers?

I have been kicking around doin a bootable cd for frontend only. These projects sound similar enough. I have limited linux knowledge but thought this would be an interesting way to learn a bit more.

I hope to star on it next week when I get some ram for a spare pc I have.

We should keep in touch.

General -> KnoppMyth. Please read the description. Every if you plan to start with KnoppMyth as a base, this is no longer KnoppMyth. Please move it to General -> Linux.

iscraigh,
what kind of ram do you need? I have plenty laying around and can send you one if you need it. Also, what size? 64, 128, 256?

I got the ram.

I am thinking of using knoppmyth or the amicus scripts to get a frontend going then use the slax live cd scripts to make it into a live cd after trimming it down. I will start on this next week i just had surgery

ACL knee surgery went well just painful. On the upside it gives me weeks with nothing to do but lie on the couch and play on my computers. Thank you for the thought and for allowing the off topic post :)
