Hi - hope this is the right place for this.

I've switched over to KnoppMyth from an FC4 using Jerod's guide. I am very impressed.

I have three IR receivers on my various front-ends. Two (from the same source) work out of the box with Knoppmyth and my lirc.conf and lircrc files. The other (of a different design) doesn't.

For the one that doesn't work, when following Jerod's guide (http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php#lirc) I have to add a type=4 onto the lirc_serial options line on modprobe.conf because it is "igor style".

Anyone know where I do that in KnoppMyth?

Thank you,
Rob

If you have set up your hardware as a serial port IR blaster, then read on:

There is a line in /etc/init.d/irblaster that looks like this:
Code:
 echo "alias char-major-61 lirc_serial
options lirc_serial irq=$IRQ io=$IO" > /etc/mythtv/modules/lirc_serial

By adding your option to this line it should work.
Perhaps another item should be added to /etc/irblaster/hardware.conf for passing additional parameters to lirc_serial.

This worked! Thank you!
