Just was wondering if anyone hase been able to get LM sensors or mbmon to work with this motherboard and R5D1 and what was done to accomplish? The main thing I am after is cpu temp.

Now the memory question and I'm sure not many have played with this I have 4gb of memory (yeah I know, why 4Gb but I use this as a server box running vmware, more memory more machines I can play with :) ) and I can't seem to get the system to see all 4G, I know about 32 vs 64, but the asus bios has a memory hole setting that is supposed to free up the memory, the bios sees all 4G but when booted I can't see all 4g. I've even tried some command line arguments for the kernel like mem=4G, but no go. If any of the developers have any idea's I would be apreciate it...

thanks.....

I just tested with
Code:
mbmon -f
and received the following:
Quote:
Temp.= 84.2, 77.0, 69.8; Rot.= 3054, 3054, 0
Vcore = 1.34, 3.15; Volt. = 0.00, 4.78, 11.00, -0.00, -0.00
I didn't do anything to "enable" mbmon (that I am aware of). I'm running R5D1 + 0.20 on the M2NVP-VM.

How much memory do you see? I wonder if your kernel's high memory support has been disabled - What does
Code:
grep -i config_highmem /usr/src/linux/.config
give you?

I have a M2NPV-VM motherboard and I didn't need to do anything for mbmon to work. I just typed 'mbmon' and it worked perfectly.

OK, mbmon appears to work, fan spped looks incorrect and I need to look at the temps, I could have sworn I tried this...thanks

I have also figured out what I need to do to achieve the 4 full gigs....here is the output from above...

root@f3hdemon:# grep -i config_highmem /usr/src/linux/.config
CONFIG_HIGHMEM4G=y
# CONFIG_HIGHMEM64G is not set
CONFIG_HIGHMEM=y

I need to enable the CONFIG_HIGHMEM64G option and re-compile, the problem is I not sure the easiest way to do this with knoppmyth and pointers would be welcome.....Thanks.

Well I think I found a post that might help me accomplish this... http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... =recompile

I'm compiling as I write this...we will see what happens.
