this is a great script that ran perfectly on my R5D1 that has been upgraded to .20 following cecil's instructions. one small point is that if people are using optical output with the alsa driver they will have to make a small change. Being that I usually use mplayer for everything, xine was not configured correctly for me, and xine is what this uses to play the audio. to get audio output the file /home/mythtv/.xine/config must be changed to:
