| Post subject: | Sql Log..Probably Been There.. |
Is there some way to set a job to clear the sql log every am or whenever ? My sql log /var/log/mysql.log is already 22MB after 1 day. That's crazy. And if everything gets recorded, is there some way to delete all of it without having to manually go through 10,000 recordings to do this ? 'Sorry, probably stupid questions. I'm just stumped for the day though. |

Mine is empty. Pehaps a good idea if you post some of the messages you are seeing in the log file. |

There is a problem with some of the log rotation scripts that results in that mysql.log file getting way too huge. Here is a thread that links to some threads that discuss ways of fixing it for now... http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10273 |

Thanks marc & ceenvee703, I'll take a look; again, I may be doing something wrong, but I'll check things out again today. My SQL database did have errors, so maybe that contributed too. |
