Here is what I want to do. I have a system with an overcloced Pentium D 805 CPU, 1 gig of Ram, DVD Burner, 1 Sata 320 gig and 1 IDE 160 gig running on LVM, a Geforce 6200 256 meg running two monitors in twinview mode, a Creative Soundblaster audigy 1.

That's my basic sytem specs. My computer is located not too far from my TV in the living room where I have some logitech 5.1 speakers. What I wanna do is add a spare GeForece MX4000 PCI video card connected to the TV with an avermedia m179 tv tuner, a Zoran based frame grabber for my satellite system and a soundblaster Live! 5.1 to run mythTV on the GeForce MX 4000 screen. Is that possible? Hard to do? I have read on the mythtv wikki http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Ru ... ual_Headed which shows that I can point mythtv to show up on the display of my choice using the $DISPLAY environment variable. How do I tell Mythtv to use the second display when I start it? Would it affect other applications that I use? Any pointers would be apreciated. Thanks a lot.

What I do (not sure if this is what you want) is I configured my one video card as Twinview but in "clone" mode. I have a projector hooked to the DVI out and a 13" TV above my bar via the svideo tv out. The advantage is that I drive two displays with one card and they both show Mythtv at the same time. It is supposed to be possible to run two cards and/or split the X displays but their is downsides as mentioned in the nvidia Readme (see Appendix P and G)
