Hi All,
I had the typical LVM situation from the WiKi, where the myth partition was mounted on a VG that spanned both IDE drives.
HDA crapped out last night. Myth won't install on it, can't format the partition. Acronis says it can't read sector 0. And it screeches at startup, sounding like nails on chalkboard. Or would that be "drive head on platter"? Anyway, I think it's toast.
Is there any way to recover any shows that may still be on the other disk? I understand that they may be striped across both disks, but if they're intact, would I be able to get them?
I do have a backup, without the shows though (TJC's backup) from a month ago, so I can get my tuner settings back, modelines, etc..
But I think I'm out of luck for the shows. I want to confirm first though, before I blow everything away.

Anything is possible, it just depends on the amount of effort you want to expend.

If you google around a bit you might stumble across a trick. I don't use LVM, but would
like to see the solution if you find it.

Here is some links that might help..
