Post subject:  R5F1 will not record future TV programs

Hi,
I have loaded the new knoppmyth R5F1. I am having a strange problem.

I have knoppmyth working fine. I can watch TV, record live TV in Myth so the tuners are working.

I have set up the tuners with a source and mythfilldatabase updates the source correctly.

My problem is when I go into the TV guide and hit R to record it shows "not recording".
When I go and revise the settings for recording the show then save it it still shows "not recording".
When I go back to revise the recording settings again I find that they have been set to not record.

If I am watching live TV then I can hit R and it will record, it just won't do it in the TV guide.

It sounds like a database problem but I do not know where to start looking.

I have deleted the tuners and then added them back and then connected the source "antenna" to the tuners, rescaned the channels but the problem is still there.
Any ideas?

You won't get much in the way of responses here because folks know that off topic postings die at dawn...

My off-topic boilerplate: The senior members will not answer off topic questions posted here because Cecil will delete them as promised, making it a waste of time.

A word to the wise...

Please. 1) Read the sticky posts and pay attention. They've been made sticky for a reason. 2) Search the forums. Most of these questions get asked and answered regularly. 3) Visit the wiki and read the tutorials. People put in the effort writing them for the benefit of folks like you. If you can't be bothered to put in the effort to read and try to understand them why should we spend time helping you?

We're generally a friendly crowd, but we've had a recent wave of newbies who don't know the ropes yet. These things tend to come in waves, and by the 6th or 7th in a week, to make folks cranky. ;-)

If you post under a more appropriate topic I'm sure someone will be gald to help you sort out your problem.
