Post subject: | Adding backend info to a custom boot cd |
I know somewhere there must be a way to customize the Knoppmyth R5F1 disk with your specific backend info, Can any one point me to it? I have a Neoware Eon 100, that will not pxe boot, from my backend server. The backend works fine because another system will pxe boot from it. The Neoware works just fine as a frontend via an external usb cd drive. The onboard flash is XPe, and I don't want to overwrite the onboard. I tried a CF to IDE converter and that does not work, So I am at the point of just wanting to modify the boot cd so I don't have to manually type in my backend info each time. Or if anybody has thoughts on installing to a USB flash drive Thanks for any help or suggestions for the neoware!! |

If your BIOS does not support NETWORK boot or PXE boot. You can download a floppy or CD that will handle the PXE boot process. Search google for many FREE no-adware. Thread on USB boot on forum shot-down for speed and preferrable PXE. |
