| Post subject: | Transfering files from XP to mythbox? |
I am still in the stages of setting up a mythtv machine, I currently have a windows beyondTV PVR and would like to transition to Mythtv. However, I download alot of my tv shows from torrents, and then move them to my windows PVR from another windows machine that I download torrents to. I would like to do the same thing with the mythbox. But I have not been able to transfer files from my windows machine to my mythtbox. I have followed a few guides using Samba and Webmin, but no matter what I do I cannot transfer videos from xp to mythtv. I always get a "do not have permission or file in use error". Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice how I should set this up? |

To setup the samba server on KnoppMyth run Code: /etc/init.d/samba start
update-rc.d samba defaults userid-mythtv password-mythtv Also checkout this script, can install TorrentFlux right on your KM box so can eliminate the transfer part and download your favorites torrents from legaltorrents.com http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14399 |
