Hello, I have a mythtv box at my home connected to the internet and am using it in full capacity... (recording, tv, etc) and a 2nd computer at my shop. The shop computer does not have an internet connection but I do have cable tv at that location. I do not have a program guide at this location. I am wondering if there is a slick way for me to export the channel guide from my online home PC to a csv or xml file that I could put on a USB drive and import it on the PC at the offline location. I have not looked at the database yet and am wondering if it is as simple a task as dumping just one table. If it is possible, I am wondering if someone could give me some insight on how to make this a relatively easy process. You'll have to forgive me though... I'm a windows programmer so some of this is new to me. Thanks in advance. |

mythfilldatabase has a --file option, where you can give it the files to import into the database. So then you'ld just have to download the XML files. |

Thank you for the head start. That will make the import a piece of cake. Is there a reference or a list of URLs that I can use so I know what xml files I need to download? Or... do you think I should just hold off on this since zap2it is going away... Thanks again. |
