Hi everyone

I am going to be using the osd_cat command for displaying various bits and bobs, but just cannot get my head around the layout of the font parameter.

I have looked at the ver.sh for reference.

Here's the example from ver.sh

-adobe-helvetica-bold-*-*-*-34-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

I am presuming that the 34 in the string above is the font size, but how would I change the above to use a different font, say /usr/share/mythtv/FreeMono.ttf, and turn off italics etc.

Try running xfontsel which will let you explore the available fonts.

Also look at /etc/rip.cfg and /usr/local/bin/KnoppMyth-osd for a use of the parameter.

Gotta stop my development now, whilst I upgrade to R5F27.....

But I will let you all know what I am working on, and let you have it....

Well...I'm not Girkers, but I thought I'd throw in my 2-cents anyway . I've upgraded to R5F27 (from R5D1), and it works fine. And..I'm using osd_cat on R5F27 without any problems...
