Post subject:  Wrong CPU temp readings (RRD, sensors, MythWeb, or mbmon!)

Until yesterday, I was monitoring my CPU temp by just looking at the Status in MythWeb. Yesterday I decided to give RRD a try. The temperatures show as 127C ALL the time!!! While MythWeb was showing 35-48C (depending on load). Today, MythWeb shows 10C!!!!!! This is crazy!!! And RRD still ALWAYS shows 127C (just as crazy!). I tried running sensors but it didn't give much info. I tried sensors-detect, answered YES to everything, and rebooted. Now sensors gives:

No sensors found!
Make sure you loaded all the kernel drivers you need.
Try sensors-detect to find out which these are.

And MythWeb still, of course, shows 10C while RRD still shows 127C.

Please help??!!!

EDIT: I removed what sensors-detect added to /etc/modules and rebooted. Everything seemed to have gone to how it were before:

sensors doesn't give anything helpful:

Adapter: cx88[0]

MythTV status shows a temperature of 35C

But as soon as I go to the rrd webpage, I see the constant 127C, and then MythTV status starts showing temps that are around 10C!!

What's going on???

EDIT: I now think mbmon is showing 127 127 and 9 as temps. So the 127s are probably cos it can't read some of the temps. But the 9 is what it is reading and what it makes MythTV status show! Hopefully this will indicate to somewhat what may be going wrong??? [The temp seems to be read fine on MythWeb between reboot and the first time I try to view RRD graphs]

The rrd temperature monitoring uses mbmon which does not work for all motherboards, and even for some of the ones it does work with, needs a different command line switch to produce good results. See the man page for the different "Access method" options.
Code:
man mbmon
or
Code:
mbon -h

I always have to prime it with
Code:
mbon -I
before it gives me good results.

i just gave up and reconfigured rrd not to monitor any fans or temperatures. i simply go to the Status webpage on mythweb and lookup my current temperature. oh well..
