Im running R5f27 on an jetway cn700 via C7. Im trying to mount the default share point on my mythbox to my debian main computer. I cant get write access to my mythbox from the main computer. The share mounts properly but the the owner & group of all the files is Debian-exim. tagscott is a user on both of boxes and the mount point is owned by tagscott & group is myth
This is my entry in fstab:
Code:
//mythbox/myth     /media/myth     smbfs   rw,user,username=mythtv,password=******,uid=tagscott,gid=myth       0       0

I'm going waaaayyyy back here, but I seem to recall.... It's important that the userid is the same on both systems. i.e. if tagscott is userid 1001 on this machine, it needs to be 1001 on that machine.
This may be way off-base - I may be remembering wrong, and it may not be relevant (AIX vs. Linux).
