Post subject:  changing channel lineups with zap2it
I got my digital box serial cable connected finally, but now I can't seem to effect my channel lineup available through directdownload. It keeps downloading my original 99 channel lineup instead of the new 500 channel one. :( I've replaced the listing on my account @ zap2it, but re-retrieving the list, and clearing the channel lineup and all isn't working. I even tried to create a new account, I tried waiting a day and a half to make sure it wasn't some background process that hadn't updated it. Oh, when I tried creating a new account, the listing after the "retrieve" in input connections brought back blank (nothing listed in the dropdown after successfully contating the server).

Anyone else had this problem?

This may sound obvious but did you clear the previous channels out of the database? changing the lineup and running mythfilldatabase does not clear your old channels out. just a thought..

you mean throuhg mythtv-setup on the first prompt? of course... or do I have to do something manually in the db?

I figured out what it was, the standard zap2it account is not the same as the datadirect account. I had to change my linup at http://labs.zap2it.com/ rather than at http://www.zap2it.com which is where I was trying to change it.
