i have the chaintech 7nif2 MoBo. It is running my MythBox wonderfully. i have seen posts on here that talk about the twinview command in XF86Config-4. I have tried it a couple of times, and normally it gives me an error of something to the affect of "can not display server on this monitor." So i re-edit the Config-4 and nothing. I can do one screen or the other but not both.

Here is my deal. A friend of my wife has this site ..

http://www.lumenlab.com/

and i bought his plans. they seem straight forward and i want to give them a shot, but i need both outputs to be working so i don't have to re-edit the config-4 file every time i want to change screens.

I have searched the site for TwinView, Chaintech, 7NIF2, Nforce 2 with no definite results.

if you have achieved this could you post your XF86Config-4 text so i can see how you did it.

you can lead a person to knowledge but you cant make them think.
"Starship Troopers" the book not the movie

Someone has posted a XF86Config-4 w/ twinview on the forum. I don't know if it will work on the 7nif2. Incidently, you can ssh to the boxen and modify the XF86Config-4. Restart X and if you don't like the config, modify, restart...
