Should the sound work out of the box for KnoppMyth R4V4.1 for an Intel 854 based system (using integrated AC97 audio). The sound does not work at all. It's possible I have HW issues, but I wanted to ask if this is a known KnoppMyth issue. |

I have an emachines T2692 and sound works just fine out of the box for R4. T2692 is 2.6GHz (400MHz FSB) Celeron, 845GV chipset socket 478. |

Paste the output from; lsmod Have you tried loading the modules manually? modprobe soundcore modprobe ac97_codec modprobe via82cxxx_audio Mike |
