The standard mode lines are not working for me and tv out with a Ti4200. Has anyone had any luck with an ntsc modeline that uses the new interlaced modes? I have spent a few days now trying different settings, and modeline generators hoping to get one that works.

My existing ones seemed to work just fine when I experimentally changed the TV standard from NTSC to 480i... On the other hand the ones in the Nvidia TV out sample have never worked for me. See my XF86Config over under Tier 2 for the modelines (the ones marked #60Hz). YMMV.

UPDATE: Well here is what I did to get it working. I went and bought a $40 g-force fx 5200 with svideo out. Work right out of the box. It bugs me that there is so much of a difference between tv-out on these cards. It has all the picture quality of the 4 (I have now seen the out from a 350 and this is damn nearly the same.) Plus it works with the new interlaced modes..

Only problem right now, a blue line across the top of the movie when watching a widescreen (letterbox) dvd. not sure what is causing this, but I will be looking for an answer/solution to that one today.

wififun. When you have a chance, could you please post the XF86Config-4 that you are using?
