Ok...I've done several searches and I can't find what I'm looking for so if someone can either point me in the right direction or simply help me that would be awesome!

My problem is that I moved. I setup Schedules Direct to the correct cable company and have pointed my Myth box at it (using mythtv-setup after I shutdown the backend). It appeared to download the listings correctly. When I use MythWeb to verify that the listings are now set correctly all the channels are still set to what my old cable company was. Ive tried mythtv-setup a couple of times but it appears to not be taking the new download from schedules direct...Not real sure what to do at this point. The box sits behind a cable router and it is seeing the I-Net just fine (DNS is verified to work).

Second problem but still related to moving is that I'm in a new timezone...How do I change the timezone?

Please help.

Well because I'm kinda crazy when there's a problem I stopped the backend went back into mythtv-setup only this time when setting up the TV cards (I have 2) - I scanned the channels for each card that seemed to make the difference. When it was done scanning (for both cards) I started the backend and am now doing a mythfilldatabase but while its doing that I went into mythweb and saw that the channels are at least correct - the listings isnt but Im hoping that aligns once the mythfilldatabase completes

So I can get the channels to come up correctly but the listings data wont align with the channels...Basically the listings keeps falling into place with the old channels...

I just had a similar issue after the cable company did some changes. This may have be overkill but here is what I did to fix it:

  1. Deleted all the old channels (press D in the channel editor)
  2. Refreshed the new channels list from Schedules Direct
  3. Ran mythfilldatabase --do-channel-updates --refresh-all
Would be interested to know if there's an easier way...

paulsid - thanks for the response and yeah that command "mythfilldatabase --do-channel-updates --refresh-all" is what I used to fix the problem. So - all my issues are fixed!
