i have been reading around on howto get all the lirc modules and stuff to startup on reboot. One thread cesman said to edit /etc/modutils/lirc and change the lirc_i2c (or whatever) to lirc_serial (or whatever applies) then run update-modules. Well that doesnt work for me because my serial ports arnt initilized on startup you have to run
Code:
setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none

BEFORE you can load a module, or run a modprobe. So basicly i need to edit a file that runs BEFORE the module loads.. i need to add

Code:
setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none

NoW i need to load the module.. then run
Code:
/usr/local/sbin/lircmd

Code:
/usr/local/sbin/lircd

i believe i need it in that order.. am i wrong, or over thinking it? when i do it cesmans way (/etc/modutills/lirc, and then update-modules) NO lirc modules load because serial ports arnt initilzed.
