I initially set up R8 and XBMC using the Default Audio settings and both worked ok.

Then I installed packages need to enabled volume leveling and configured ALSA:ladcomp in the audio settings.

When I brought up XBMC I configured it to use hw:0,0 which is the default hardware device. This works but
I need to turn the alsa master volume up to get good sound in XBMC. When I go back to myth it resets it back to normal
which is good.

Just wondering it there is a way to increase the master volume when I go into XMBC rather than doing it manually.

Thanks

Finally got really tired of having to ssh into the myth box and using alsamixer to increase the volume when using xbmc. Did some research and found an command line solution to the problem.

I found this command
Code:
amixer set Master xx%

I added this line to the xbmc.sh script
Code:
amixer set Master 85% > /dev/null

Works great.
