Thanks for the fstab tjc!

Does anyone know a rough or general size that mythfilldatabase will cause the database grow (I'm sure it varies from location to location based on number of channels, etc.) but I thought I might ask if there was a general number anyone was throwing for a standard (extended) cable service?

I too am having the fsck corruption problems after every crash, though it only recently. Originally it would recover nicely, but now every time the PC crashes I have to do a manual reinstall to reformat /dev/hda.

Curiously, I can make the PC crash on demand by simply configuring the data direct service and running mythfilldatabase. (in fact I've narrowed it down to tv_grab_na_dd specifically) (it actually doesn't crash -- it shuts off as if the motherboard has detected that the CPU was getting too hot)

If I leave out configuring the data direct service (thereby having no guide data) everything (except guide) works dreamily.

I'm still researching what could be causing this as it seems to happen only in cpu intensive and disk intensive operations (like mythfilldatabase or imagemagick convert.)

Any random thoughts or hints would be appreciated ... I've found nothing useful in any logs whatsoever.

I'm running an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe (with latest BIOS) with an Athhlon XP 3000.

Thanks.

I swapped out my Athlon 3000 with an Athlon 2000. Now, instead of powering off, it prints "Segmentation Fault" and exits. Anyone know where i can look, log files wise, for any additional info to help me debug this?

Thanks,
MikeE
