I'm wondering if anyone knows of a program that will allow you to watch videos at increased speed. For example, say you have a show that is 20 minutes long...I want a program that will let me play it in 18 minutes by playing it just a little faster. Extra impressive if someone knows a way to do this that also automatically adjusts the pitch during playback so everything doesn't sound like chipmunks!

mythtv cvs version will do this for TV. they call it Time stretch.

mplayer i guess does it to for videos.

taken from mplayer docs
