I know it's probably trivial to do... how do I do it :)

in /etc/rc3.d, create a symlink to /etc/init.d/smb like so:


cd /etc/rc3.d
ln -s /etc/init.d S88smb

You still have to configure it to your liking if the default smb.conf file is not what you need (/etc/samba/sm.conf, I think).

Thanks man... I found out it's much easier to do:

# update-rc.d samba defaults

:)
