well mythtv does have a mac osx client at some level of completion, but knoppmyth is an entire os with mythtv preinstalled, so no it cannot be used on top of another os such as osx or windows. |

You can have a PC with a crappy graphics card (a backend machine) installed in a cupboard somewhere accessed by a fast Mac (a frontend machine). KnoppMyth is a good way to install the backend machine without having to know too much about Linux. |

The frontend runs on my iBook G3 500 MHz, so a 1GHz G4 Mac mini will definitely launch it. I've only connected wirelessly, though, so it's not a good test of how well things play back. I'll have to wire it in and see how it goes. |
