Hi, I am trying to compile LIRC and setup my remote to work with KnoppMyth. I got to the point where I have to download files from lirc.sourceforge.net web site. How do I do that in xterm? Sorry for the stupid question but I am a complete Linux noob. I have tried to copy the file over to my FTP server using my Mac and get it thru lftp but that did not work. After executing 'dir' command the program hangs on 'Making data connection...'. Drabina |

Find the URL of the file you need, then in xterm type "wget http://" and the URL. EDIT: oooh, photo finish. |
