Post subject:  mounting multiple network shares into a single folder

I'm wondering if it's possible to mount more than one network share into a single folder. I have media in multiple locations on my network (which is unavoidable at the moment), and would like all videos from the network to be mounted into the /myth/video folder. Right now, I have the following in /etc/fstab to mount a share:
Code:
//Hostname/share /myth/video smbfs 0 0

Within my network shares, I have separated content into subfolders such as TV, Movies, Sketches, Music Video, etc. Sadly, storage constraints don't allow me to have everything from each section in a single folder, but I'd like them to show up that way when browsing in Myth. Does anyone know how I might solve this problem? (My shares are on XP machines, and I've tried creating windows shortcuts, but they are apparently ignored by linux.)

yes and no. you cannot mount multiple places to one folder, however you can create multiple folders inside that folder and mount it there, and myth will parse all subfolders.

I have a similar setup to what it sounds like you are wanting to do.
/dev/hda4 is mounted as /myth
/dev/hdb1 is mounted as /myth/video
in /myth/video I separate TV, Movies, Home Videos, etc...
an smb mount is mounted to /myth/music
and another is mounted to /myth/gallery

I don't know if it is important, but setup your fstab so that they mount in descending order and you should be fine.
