Post subject: | PVR-500 Audio Issues |
Hey everyone, About a week ago I upgraded my IVTV driver (from 0.3.6f to 0.3.6p) due to DMA problems with my PVR-500 (D492) and have since been unable to get the audio to work. I've tried rebuilding the kernel, rebuilding the Alsa driver, MythTV, etc. At first I thought the issue was specific to MythTV, but have since noticed that it happens anytime I even try to cat the device to a file or /dev/null. I am just plain stumped and now I'm beyond the level of my expertise. I've done a lot of searching and have not been able to find anyone with a similar issue. The machine is an P3 Coppermine with a 440BX chipset running gentoo on kernel 2.6.11-r9 and this is it's dmesg output: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.2.0 (rc3j) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.11-gentoo-r9 SMP preempt PENTIUMIII 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3 ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info ivtv: between the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines when ivtv: mailing the ivtv-devel mailinglist. ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 150 card ivtv: Found an iTVC16 based chip ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:08.0[A] -> GSI 9 (level, low) -> IRQ 9 ivtv: XXX PCI device: 0x7190 vendor: 0x8086 tveeprom: The eeprom says no radio is present, but the tuner type tveeprom: indicates otherwise. There's been a lot of discussion of recent audio issues on the ivtv-development list lately. you might want to check out the archive on http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/ -brendan |
