thanks, got it working

iv searched and checked the wiki but havent found an answer for these.

I am going to be getting a new box, and it will have 2 hard drives. Can I do an auto install and myth will use both hard drives or do I have to do a manual install?

it will also have 2 tuners: a pvr 250 and an ATI TV Wonder VE (its coming with the box - is it any good?). when recording one show and watching another, will it matter which does which? can I specify that?

(btw the new box is a 2500 barton, 256 pc3200, 80gb.)

There were some issues with one of the SB cards but I don't remember which one so you''ll have to search for the details...

SoundBlaster Live! cards from Dell were not support by ALSA. At least this was the case a year ago.

with two drive, I think most folks do an autoinstall with a single drive in th box then add the second. I did just that. I used LVM to join the second disk and the /myth patition of the first disk into a single logical volume / single file system.

LVM is very nice. Highly recommended as a way to add a second drive.
