Well, just got my pvr-150 mce for an early christmas present. Mind you I'm completely new to linux, and I haven't really dove much into partitioning and whatnot. I've been considering how I want to set my system up, and here's what I want to do:

I'm thinking I'll have three harddrives. Now, I'm going to try to run a dual boot, with WinXP on one drive and MythTV on another. I was wondering if there was some way to make the third drive accessible to both oses? A friend of mine recommended making that third drive run a FAT filesystem. Would that work, and if so, what do you recommend to set it up.

Also, I was wondering if there was a way to run other programs on MythTV that are linux based, such as gaim.

I appreciate the help in advance. If you can answer either (if not both) of these questions, I'd be very thankful.

Your friend's recommendation is probably the best. fdisk and format the drive in Windows (NOTE: THIS IS NOT A WINDOWS SUPPORT FORUM).

Yes, you can.
