Post subject:  bad /etc/lilo.conf using only non-standard hdds

This is just feedback. I had some trouble with my initial install which I tracked down to (among other screwups of my own) a bad entry for boot= in the generated /etc/lilo.conf

I used "manual install" because I was trying to get the install onto RAID devices (no go, but that's OK, I'm fine with hacking my way through it post-install). My HDDs are on a Promise controller and resolve fine as /dev/hde and /dev/hdg, and the install script correctly put the boot partition in (as /dev/hde10) but set the boot device to /dev/hda (which is the CDROM from which I booted the install disk). Once I corrected this and re-ran lilo (to /dev/hde), I got a bootable system and I've started in from there.

Just thought I'd report the error (I doubt many others will hit it but you never know ...)

Thanks .../Leigh
