I recently upgraded my MythTV from 0.18 to 0.19 and one of the strange things was deinterlace bob 2x produced very odd looking displays. It looked like half the horizontal lines were missing and the colors were smeared vertically. Funny thing was, the stills looked great but when it played, the screen got distorted again.

If anyone else sees this problem the fix is easy once you find it. Just change the vertical overscan percentage back to 0 in setup and the problem disappears.

It worked just fine in MythTV 0.18 so I do not know what changed in MythTV 0.19 to break it. Bob 2x is the only deinterlacer that I really like. It is the only one I have found that can do smooth news tickers without the jerks.
