I wonder if anyone else experiences this problem...?

I'm using an nVidia FX5200-based video card. When I try to load a man page for reference, I can see holes in the text where command parameters are supposed to be. They don't show up. The formatting is also off (line wrap breaks, etc.) I can see some boldface text here and there, but I'm assuming the holes have text that's a particular color. Consequently when I need help and try to use man, it's useless because I can't read the information.

Is this a video driver issue (I'm using the latest 8178 driver, but it also did this w/earlier versions)?
