Hi,

Hopefully a quick one for you:

I was trying to get wakeup with mythwelcome to work and I followed the instructions on the wiki to try using nvram-wakeup:

1. Run nvram-wakeup as root with no parameters and see if your motherboard is supported. If it isn't, look at the man pages and the file /usr/share/doc/nvram-wakeup/README.mb.gz (or just start guess-helper)... there's still hope. I recommend taking a look at the man pages anyway. HEED ALL THE WARNINGS!

2. Run the following command as user mythtv: "touch /home/mythtv/.use-nvram"

End nvram-wakeup users only Part 1


I want to undo the effect that has as I'm not having much luck with that either. nvram-wakeup doesn't appear to do what I want it to either at the moment and I want to get back to a clean enough system to have a fresh go at this.

Can anyone supply any clues on how to do this? I had a look around via google and nothing jumped out at me. Sorry for being such a dunce.

After a bit of reading (should do that first -sigh-) anyhow, perhaps a better version of the question should be: What should I be "touch"ing to put it back the way it was?

FYI: To undo the touch, just delete the file:

rm /home/mythtv/.use-nvram
