I had some initial problems due to my impatiences and I deleted my database, so this could be related to that.

I managed to get the .15 debs from cesman installed, running mythtv-setup && mythfilldatabase seems to have created a new database for me.
I have channel listings now,but my problem is that if I try to watch live TV, I get a fuzzy screen and clear audio! Its driving me nuts!
I have run mythtv-setup many times now, clearing the channel listings and cards and reconfigured everything.
I noticed that some of the default configuration paths specified in the database are off (instead of using /cache for live TV buffering its using /mnt/share/temp or something).

Here is another strange part of the story...
I have the A+B digital cable setup with Comcast in San Jose, CA. and am using an external tuner, the channels change fine, and if I power the device off my screen goes black as it should. But if I unplug the power to digital cable box, I all of a sudden get a clear picture and audio! This is normal with digital cable.

I tried using both of the digital cable boxes I have and they both do the same thing...
cable box on, nothing but fuzzy output and clear audio.
unplug power from cable box, I get regular cable channels AOK.

Has anyone run in to this? Can anyone tell me how to create a database for Knoppmyth correctly? Any help? ... Please, please, please!

I got this working somehow, may have had to do with the cache directory not being writeable, thats the only major change I made.
