I haven't been able to get Frozen Bubble to work with a clean install of R4V3. I'm running the nVidia driver, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Here is the error message it gives me:

Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/auto/SDL_perl/SDL_perl.so' for module SDL_perl: libGL.so.1: cannot handle TLS data at /usr/lib/perl/5.8/DynaLoader.pm line 225.
at /usr/lib/perl5/SDL.pm line 9
Compilation failed in require at /usr/lib/perl5/SDL.pm line 9.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/SDL.pm line 9.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/games/frozen-bubble line 52.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/games/frozen-bubble line 52.

Maybe its the wrong version of Perl for Frozen Bubble? I'm not sure. Any help with be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks all. And, keep up the incredible work cesman!!!! I can't say how greatful I am for all your hard work!

Eric

Works for me here. The error sounds like maybe a bad install? I know that
sounds unlikely, but.... Not using Nvidia here, so can't rule that out.

Hey Seth,

I checked my media and everything seems OK. Addiitonally, I just did a clean install fo R4V4 and the same problem persists. If others are not having the problem, I'm starting to think that maybe it's a nVidia driver conflict. However, the error messages don't indicate that to me.

Anyone else with the same problem?

Thanks,

Eric

I've extensively searched here and over at: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv and haven't found anything.

Are there other places I should check?

Thanks!

I think he is referring to this forum. For whatever the version of the nVidia drivers I've included don't get along w/ Frozen Bubbles. if you're ocnnected to a TV and don't care about overscan, then you can use another version of the driver.
