Last night i paused live tv, and it happend to be in a fast running scene. I could see two complete images of the person running, they were just alittle bit off center from each other. this tells me that it is not de-interlacing I do have a 60 inch toshiba progressive scan TV. My main question, is... Am i right to say that its not "de-interlacing" if i pause it and see two images seperated from each other during a fast motion scene?

you are probably using xvmc. no filters will work with xvmc. go to the setup -> tv -> playback and on about the 3rd screen the one with the pvr350 stuff at the bottom there is a checkmark for xvmc. make sure that is off.

hmmm true if it's not an mpeg2 file xvmc won't work anyways. you do have the deinterlace filter checkbox marked don't you? If so then you may want to search the forums and uncheck that box and use the other filter. I think it's kerneldint or something like that.
