I am using the new Nvidia drivers and I am now using xvmc. With the old drivers, xvmc was very hard on the eyes but now, it looks great on a television. The playback seems to have some interlace artifacts on my monitor but on my TV (through SVIDEO) it looks GREAT. Also, my CPU usage dropped way down while viewing programs recorded with my PVR250 vs without XVMC roughly 30% -> 5% CPU.

Therefore, please keep the XVMC capability.

Ok, I've switched to the new nvidia drivers and I agree, the video output has drastically improved. Here's a link to another post I made with more specific feedback on this great mew driver:

I see the current tally is 8 are using XvMC, 20 not. I haven't been able to figure out how to add my vote to the tally.

When I enabled it, I noticed a significant improvement (this was with the original R4v4.1 Nvidia driver), so I definitely would vote for keeping it if I could figure out how to access the poll.

I'm using it and I think it would cause lots more grief trying to explain how to add it for everyone who wants it.
