Did you look in /myth/lost+found? This is covered in the disaster recovery write ups from Cecil and others.

If you have a recent backup (under the Knoppmyth menu) then
a restore would fix you up. My guess is that you don't have
one.

My experience is that if none of your old recordings in /myth/tv
show up in MythTV, and if the system is working alright
otherwise then you have a blown database. MythTv
just doesn't know that they are there. You can watch them,
with a little arm twisting, but you don't know anything
about them except the time and channel (which are part of the
filename).

If you can live with it (if you don't have a lot of precious
recordings that you wanted to keep semi-permanently) you
could just move all the recordings from /myth/tv to /myth/video
and access them as videos.

Move them with something like:
Code:
cd /myth/tv
mv * ../video

Make them accessable by going into the mythfrontend
"Utilities/Setup" menu and selecting "Video Manager". Once
you get out of that you can access them from
"Media Library -> Watch Videos". Be aware that every other
file in Watch Videos will be a png, not a playable video.

You may have to add an mpg or an nuv file type under
"Uitlities/Setup -> Setup -> Media Settings -> Video Settings
-> File Types" to play them as videos, not as recordings.

You might consider a clean new install once you have watched
them in case something else blew up too?

Cliff
