Just upgraded to the latest version; I was previously running one a few versions behind :)

Did a clean install.

All up and running, accept its not using the full width and height of the TV screen. Probably more a TV out issue then a Knoppmyth, but thought people here might of experienced this before and the solution is already known.

My searching didnt bring back anything, but its a hard topic to search for.

Using a GF4 MX4000 video card on a P4 2.4 system.

Thanx for reading

The keywork to look for for that problem is "overscan". I think with an Mx4000, you should be able to use the overscan settings in nvidia-settings. Once you have got your settings right, you need to add a line to ~mythtv/.fluxbox/apps to make it load the settings when you boot. Something like:
Code:
[startup] {nvidia-settings -load-config-only}

Ahh thanx for that :)

Could it be a "Modeline" problem in my xorg.conf ? It was running in full screen fine for a few of the previous releases.

Hi all, I'm just getting to tweaking everything the way I like it, and am trying to resolve the same issue. I'm using R5C7 with a pvr 150, ivtv v0.4.6. Also am using an old Geforce MX (s-video out). Will investigate into setting overscan with nvidia-settings and will share my findings. btw I'm using a brand new RCA 32 CRT tv if that matters.

I've found a way to fix my problem, but I need to issue the nvtv command on startup, and putting it in ~mythtv/.fluxbox/apps doesn't seem to do it. I remember there was another place to put startup scripts, but I can't for the life of me remember it, or find it in the forum or wiki anywhere. I'm having another issue as well, it seems my screen resolution is 800x600, but the mythfrontend is running at 1024x768, I can only see the top left corner. If I go through the 'Appearance' setup and accept all the default values, it resizes and fixes itself. Any ideas?

EDIT: Sorry, just after posting this, I remembered on my particular system R5C7, I had to put my startup commands in /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default to get them to apply correctly. I'm still stuck on the resolution problems with mythfrontend.
