I voted yes, but it should be noted that as EIT becomes more widespread, channels will be able to provide their own guide data. I think the current limit is 3 days of guide data, though, and I've only run into one channel with EIT where I live.

I'm only finding a couple of hours of EIT here in Rochester NY. So using that for guide data is like driving in fog. You don't know what's coming until it's right on top of you. So I'm happy with Zap2It for now.
I voted yes, but don't really see the point of the poll. "worth it"? It's free and it works. What's the issue here?

You shouldn't yell at anybody, since zap2it is providing this service free of charge and owes you nothing, but you can always ask someone for help. I tried zap2it.com and labs.zap2it.com, and I see no difference in listed channels for my zipcode. What problem do you see?

Hey,

my issue is that that i'm missing three or four channels. Scfi being the big issue for me. I mean if something else was missing then that's cool. but no matter what i choose for my zip code... scfi is not evan listed!

however when u go to the .com site it's listed there for my service!

err...

This very problem is given a topic on zap2it's forum.

Try looking around there to learn what to do, being sure to read the sticky note first.

anyone who had to deal with the horror that was xmltv before zap2it started providing datadirect knows that yes it's worth it. Particularly since all you have to pay is the time to answer 10 or 15 questions every three months.
