Post subject: | Making a new bootable CD for knoppmyth |
Hi All, I am curious. After changing a couple lines in the KnoppMyth-auto file, I would like to build a new CD and test it. My CD Burner is on my windows box and I have Roxio 5 Easy CD Creator software. Can I just copy all the files from the original R4.2 Knoppmyth cd to a directory on my hard drive. Make a couple changes. And then burn all this back to a new bootable CD? Is there anything special about the bootable CD? Thanks for any replies, jpummill2 |

Ok, answering my own post again... Here is what I found on creating a new bootable cd... http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/Bootable%20CD Looks like you can use mkisofs with a boot image (boot.img) file to rebuild the CD. Makes sense. Learn something every day... ![]() |

If you intend to distribute your remaster, please remove the Hauppauge Windows drivers. |

Hi cesman, I am trying to remaster a CD so that I can test my changes to the install. If it works, I would like to just give the code back to you and see if you wanted to add it to a future release. Just curious, why remove the Hauppauge windows drivers??? jpummill2 |

Because I sign a license to distribute the drivers with KnoppMyth. |
