Hi, I installed LCDproc right on my knoppmythbox. I would like to know how to install MythLCD on knoppmyth... I read i have to recompile mythtv with --LCD_DEVICE... How to do with knoppmyth? |

The same way... Remove the deb and untar the source. |

Will i lose my actual configuration? Anyway, i have to untar mythtv-0.14.tar.bz2, and after? I read that i have to edit settings.pro and uncomment the LCD_DEVICE define. Do i have to uncomment also (i am using lirc for my remote controller...): DEFINES += LCD_DEVICE CONFIG += using_alsa ALSA_LIBS = -lasound CONFIG += using_lirc LIRC_LIBS = -llirc_client and leave uncommented CONFIG += using_xv EXTRA_LIBS += -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lXinerama -lXv -lX11 -lXext -lXxf86vm CONFIG += using_ivtv DEFINES += USING_IVTV Is it right? Now? What i have to do? Make? Do i have to close any myth application (frontend, backend...)? |

Perhaps you should browse the forum and read the MythTV docs. You won't lose your info in the db, you should also change /usr/local to /usr. You'll also need to know the password that the user mythtv uses to access MySQL. |

OK, i read another time the forum (i read always old threads... i don't want, you and me, lose time...) I would like to know if i only have to: 1° Uncomment alsa define 2° Uncomment lirc define 3° Uncomment lcd define 4° change /usr/local to /usr (in this way, i suppose that it's like to use "install-i686-l" + LCD... right?) After compile, do i have to change anything to enable lcd device or it's automatic? My lcdproc is up (i test it and it works...) |

After recompiled all, i went into ./mythlcd directory, run make and compiled mythlcd. When i run ./mythlcd i get a window with: Time, channel, music, Recording/Progress,Push me, Quit BUTTONS What hell do i have to do? Lcdproc remain in "LCDproc Server" 0 Clients, 0 Screens I don't understand....

i resolved... I forgot to write "make install" at the end of compile!!! (ops...) now all works! Any idea how to enable EQ in Music? |
