Post subject:  Refrest problem when playing Videos

When i am wathing a Video with lots of movement on the screen i am PRETTY sure that the refrest is not set right. I am watching it on a TV and i did change the Vert and Horz to what knoppmyth says for a TV. It is not exactly stutering.. like the cpu is overloaded. It is hard to explain but.. If a car is going horizontally across the screen it kinda splits into two cars (JUST BARELY) and i see horitonal lines.. This Is almost not noticble but my eye finds it very distracting. 2 related questions.

With a Vertical refrest of 60. Do i change it higher?? or lower? What signs do i look for to find if its too high. Or to low? What point do i burn my TV out

Same with Horizontal. HorizSync "30 - 50" Do i change it to 40 - 60??

Well you get the idea. alittle about my setup.

AMD 2800+
1 Gig DDR 400 ram
Via KT400 Mobo
120 gig hd
Via Onboard video
Sound Blast 5.1 audio

You should not change your horizotal and vertical refresh rates for TV out. Unlike modern multisync monitors they have fixed sync rates.

Have you got the deinterlace filter enabled? You can find the check box for this under setup->tv->playback if memory serves.
